Sláinte an Uasail Fhónta!

SLÁINTE ’N UASAIL FHÓNTA.

(PUL’s translation of For He’s a Jolly Good Fellow!)

Sláinte an uasail fhónta,
Sláinte an uasail fhónta,
Sláinte an uasail fhónta,
’S go mairidh sé céad nú dhó.
Go mairidh sé céad nú dhó.
Gan mhairg gan athrú cló.
Sláinte an uasail fhónta,
Sláinte an uasail fhónta,
Sláinte an uasail fhónta,
Is nár fheicidh sé gruaim go deó.

A note by Shán Ó Cuív states:

Más ag moladh ban atáthar, is féidir Sláinte na huaisle fónta a rá agus gach athrú eile is gá a dhéanamh. Más ag moladh beirte nú níos mó ná san atáthar, is féidir Sláinte na n-uasal bhfónta a rá agus gach athrú eile mar an gcéanna.
